Default elusive exhaust leak

drove the v70 today for 1st time in months, my daughter has been destroying it and never says anything. Anyway, when driving you can clearly hear an exhaust leak, but when you get out to look for it no luck. I have spent the better part of the afternoon looking. It sounds like it is in the engine bay, can the braided part on the down pipe leak? Anyone had this happen to them? it does not appear to be the exhaust mani gasket.

Yes they can leak there. Have you seafoamed the car lately? If it needs it then do it. Because when it smokes like crazy look for the leak in the exhaust.

As long as you suck in a little at a time and rev it up pretty good you will be fine.
