Engine system service light
I've just bought a 2007 V70 new shape. After a couple of days Engine System Service message came on. It needed a service so I had it serviced at an indepeendant garage who informed me there were no codes present and had reset the message. After about 15 miles the message has come on again. Has anybody any ideas or do I need to take it to a Volvo dealer? Its the push button start and doent always start at the first press. Could it be something to do with this? Would be grateful for any advice. It has done 90000 miles and is a 2.4 diesel. I bought the car from a local dealer who I will be taking it back to . I just wanted to go armed with a little bit of info if possible. The fuel filler cap is on tight enough and I filled up with esso fuel.
Thanks for the replies.

Hello, Please include a little info in your posts. Mileage, circumstances under which you bought the car, ownership history. Is it even a turbo or not? AWD, FWD? As far as a CEL goes; almost anything can set them off. A load of cheap gas can do it. It did in my car. Don't freak yet. Drive it burn some gas and fill up with half a tank or better with good gas. Then check for loose hoses, vacuum lines anything disconnected. Talk to you later, Kira
A common causes of the Engine Service Light is from people NOT putting the fuel tank cap on tight enough. You should make it click several times before letting it go.
