Fuel pressure sensor recall FYI '04
Some weeks ago, my check engine light came on. I thought maybe I had some bad gas and on the next fill-up, it went off. Since then it has been on and off. Then, I stalled a few times and would occasionally lose power randomly. I have a tune up scheduled anyway for spark plugs, but when checking on recalls, I found the following:
2004 VOLVO V70 Recall ID from NHTSA: 07V226000
Auto Recall Date: JUN 05, 2007
Vehicle Component: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
Model Affected V70
Estimated Vehicles Affected: 38700 Recall Details
Auto Recall Date:
JUN 05, 2007
Vehicle Component: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
My VIN checked out as part of the recall and the Volvo dealer replaced the fuel pressure sensor and all seems to be well now. No light and no stalling. Maybe you are all aware of this recall, but it was a great relief to me.
