Glycol test before buying a 98?

I'm back! Thanks to those who posted in my thread below about the 3rd row retro-fit. I'm going to do it if we buy the car, and I'm moving toward making that purchase.
Another question - a mech in the area said to have a glycol done on any 98 V70 before purchase. I'd never heard that one before. I know the 01's and 02's that's a must - but does the fluid bleed-over issue occur with enough frequeny in the 98's that I'd better get it done??
thx!

Glycol test is the one which is pretty much considered mandatory before buying any 01. It detects the presence of anti-freeze in the transmission fluid. A problem quite common to the 01's and one that basically guarantees the tranny is going to go out....sooner or later (almost always sooner). People on the 01/02 forum would be very familiar with it, but I'd never heard of this particular problem in the 98's.
