Default Heater core Leak? 99 V70 FWD

the wifes care may have a leaky heater core?
symptoms are as follows:
when heat is on, right side of wind shield gets foggy. slight smell of ethyline glycol.

is this the heater core, or some other part of the heater system. water does not condense on the left side of wind shield.

many thanks

No you don't have to pull the dash.
I saw a write up about it somewhere but forget.

You will have to pull the lower dash panels,Center console, then the bottom of the Heater box and swap out the cores.

You don't have to drain the Radiator. Youi just remove the heater hoses and point up and you are fine.

I normally don't like to post links to other forums but haven't been able to make the post myself.

The only difference between the one in the link and yours is that you will have to remove your gas pedal and Base from the floor. Which is 5 screws total.
