I am looking for an AWD wagon and a local V70 has me interested. I am totally new to Volvos.

I searched for a FAQ section but came up empty. Can someone give me the basics on what to look for or look out for/avoid?

I was in the same position as you about 9 months ago. I'd owned foreign cars for years (Toyotas, VW), had friends who owned Volvos (but not Wagons), but I'd never owned either a station wagon or a Volvo.

I am no expert by any stretch or description, but would be glad to share some of the things on my diploma from the School of Hard Knocks I learned in a hurry about Volvos. Please contact me off-list if you like.
