Default J hose replacement (5-month old post)

My Dealer did a smoke test on my 03 V70 due to the Check engine light coming on a number of times indicating a vacum leak, replaced the gas cap first time, now they want $329.00 to replace the J hose, its not easy to get to so they say that they must drop the exaust and an other pan.THIS must be Volvo designing at its best,All this to replace a $0.29
hose ,oh Almost forgot ..Plus 2 clamps. Has anyone done this themself, Any ideas?? Edward R

Yes you have to drop the exhaust some and rear suspension.
I have done it a bunch of times at work.
