Default Looking at 2001+ V70... Any tips?

Looking at V70 Volvos to buy, any tips? I know to make sure timing belt has been replaced after 105k, but that's about it. What else do I need to look for? I'm looking for spend about $9000 in NE Tennessee.

Thanks much!

Hello, Do a search of "5 speed transmissions" and you'll find tales of bad valve bodies and a misapplied "stop neutral function". Stories of software downloads and fluid changes solving 90% of an owner's woes balance well against horror stories of $3,000 to $5,000 rebuilds and junkyard swaps. The concensus is to avoid the troubles and go for a 2003 or later.
Post back and tell us if you want AWD or FWD; turbocharged or not. These preferrences must be determined first since they effect many option groupings. Kira

I've only test drove the Turbo, and I think I'd like to have the extra power... As far as AWD, I don't care especially, but if I got a decent deal on one I'd rather have the XC. Soooooo...?
