lower control arm bushing replacement

you should include the year and model. i recently attempted bushing replacement on a 99 v70 fwd. I failed. the inner ring of one of the bushings had siezed to the bolt. I was not confident enough to cut the bolt without damaging the control arm, so I took it to the garage. the bushings cost 30 dollars US for 2 from ipd, they did not come with new hardware. I ordered 2 new bolts for another 30. the mechanic charged me 50 dollars to replace them. So to answer your question, you should be able to, there are control arm bushing kits available online that come with 2 bushings and 2 bolts-cant remember the site. keep in mind that the bushings are pressed in, so you will need access to a press, or build your own tool to remove and install them. you could also just remove the control arm and take it to someone who owns a press, like a machine shop or garage. I don't know what kind of resources you have where you live. here in vt i was a little limited. good luck

I have a 98 v 70 and to me, unless you have access to all the tools required, just replace the whole a arm with a new assembly.
Having said that, and I need to confirm but my v70 seems to wear the ball joint long before the bushings. I have been using the scan tech aftermarket a arms and they don't last very long it seems, but I will check the records because it is that time again and I'm certain it was not that long ago that I replaced them.
