Default My new ride.....

Got a great offer on this V70 T5 200 000 Kms (120 000 miles mostly highway) In spanking condition! Now I'm aware there is a ETM problem with these cars..... so my question is can you fit a cable throttle instead ( like a 850 turbo)? Or is there a way to make the ETM more reliable?

Cheers,

Plums... ( Geneva Switzerland)

The thing is I'm planning on doing a fair bit of Highway with this car..... ie Geneva Switzerlandto Manchester England round trip 2000 miles, What would happen if the ETM went belly up.... can I still drive or not at all?

Cheers,

Plums...

Sometimes it will kill the car other times it will make it run at slower speeds only.

I know the U.S. market was affected the most. The other markets were a little better as far as I know.
