Default no A/C

Yet another strange a/c problem. My son was T-boned in the driver's side rear door 10 days ago(another testament to why you should put your loved ones in Volvo's) and just got it back. The a/c worked great before acc now nothing. Compressor does not come on, auto climate just blows hot air. I checked fuses and wires to compressor, all seemed fine. However just before acc had code for coolant temp switch, that could not get to before acc. I dont now where to start.

Default no power to A/C compressor

I had the freon checked and it is ok, but the indy said that I had no power to the compressor. Besides tracing the wire from compressor back, what else should I be looking for? Thanks for the help

Default no power to A/C compressor

tech; I just changed thermostat and ECT due to an previous code for the ETC. I let car warm up and the cooling fan did not come on, but the blower inside car works fine. It seems like it might be the high pressure switch? Would that cause no power to compressor? How do you check the compressor relay? thanks

If the cooling fan did not come on I would start with a new high pressure switch. If the high pressure switch does not see the fan come on it shuts the compressor down.

Default No A/C

Tech; Just got the used high pressure switch from Voluparts in Atlanta. I put it in, and the A/C along with the cooling fan is working again. Thank you for all your help.
