So the quick story is that i am looking at a 1998v70r with 130,000mls. Adult owned and has maintenance records. I was wondering what experiences people have had with this particular car at this millage. Do you use super gas, what kind of MPG do you get, do turbos tend to go out at some point? Any info would be great, and thanks in advance. I have done a search on here and have owned other V70's so i do have some expirence, i am just looking for updated info

Hello, Sounds good. It's your $4,000. Deep breath.....struts/shocks, axle boots, ball joints, tie rod ends, steering rack, check for oil leaks, breather box due, hurray for the 4-speed automatic, 2WD and throttle cable.
Mileage depends on the lead content of your right foot. Premium gas lets the engine do it's thing though mid grade might be enough.
Turbo lifespans must be tabulated somewhere. I don't have any experience. My 1985 Chrysler LeBaron Turbo doesn't count as data here. Good luck. Kira

All V70R's are 4wd. Maybe you missed that.
Check for Heater core, drive shaft issues. Premium gas only should be used as a R modle has a high pressure turbo Unlike other models which use regular grade fuel.
As for mileage, I average 14.4 mpg around town BUT a whooping 24+ on a flat interstate.
The nice thing about an R model is that when you touch the pedal it feels like something is happening.
Have a mechanic check it out. And check out V70R.com.
