Oil filter Cap Leak?
Hey guys and gals.
Just noticed the other day that the V70R has an oil leak. We changed the oil yesturday, and we have come to the conclusion that the oil filter cap is leaking at the top where the threads are, Like it is not sealing. Just have to get a new cap. Just wondering if any of the other owners experienced this type of leak?
Tech, do you see this happening frequently?

Pull if off and make sure the o-ring is there, and seated properly and didn't bind up when you threaded it back on (I get a new o-ring included when I buy new filters). Also, when you reinstall the filter housing, put some clean oil all over the o-ring. This will keep it from binding up and seat nicely. Basically the same idea as with any oil filter.

.Thanks for the reply
Odd...They're made of a temp-resistant composite that shouldn't warp. Too bad since those housings aren't cheap. I've been debating on buying the volvo tool for removing them, since an oil filter wrench is nearly not an option. I found a hinged one I can angle the handle down and barely fit in there, but I always bust a knuckle doing it.
