oil leak
My wife has a 98 S70 GLT, AT,2.4T - Last week while I was using the car I thought I'd be nice and have the oil changed for her at a fast lube place. Almost immediately after leaving there , the S70 started marking it's territory with just a few oil spots in the driveway. The next day it got worse until I could watch steady drops coming from the passenger side front. It was leaking from the black plastic tank along the bottom of the radiator nearest the front. On this tank?/raditor? there are part numbers molded with a perfectly round circle with a dot in the center. The oil was leaking from this "dot". The dealer would not offer any info on this "leaky" part ..... first what is it and why did it just start leaking from the center dot in the perfectly round circle on it ???? sorry , don't know much about this car
Watch your transmission fluid level. I bet the cooler tank has a crack.
Could the leak come from hasty work at the quick lube? Hard to tell, look for a fresh impact around the leak.
You could install an after market cooler, rather than repace the whole radiator.

the "pin hole" in the center of the dot was an OIL DRAINrelease , for oil drain when the car is overfilled with oil. It was supposed to drop oil there because the quick-change oil shop over filled it. Why couldn't the dealer tell me this ?????????
That is not a drain for when it is overfilled. That is the intercooler drain. Turbo cars will always have a slight bit of oil end up in the system. The hole drains it before it ends up going into the throttle body and gets burned.
