Oil Leak?

I purchased a 2001 V70 T5 about 3 weeks ago, I checked the oil today and was shocked to find no oil on the dip stick, I put 4.5 quarts of oil in it, I had no indication the oil was low and no signs of it leaking on my driveway, I have researched this forum for post on this topic and saw one regarding the O rings between the engine and the oil pan, can anyone provide any additional information on this type of problem they have experienced?

Tech, I have read several of your responses in this forum and you appear to be very knowledgeable with Volvos, I have been checking the oil 3 times a day since I discovered it was low yesterday, It does not appear to have lost any more oil. Do you think there is a problem with the oil sensor since the light oil light on the dash only came on for just a second? Is this a common problem for this particular car? This is the first Volvo I have owned, I hope I have not got in over my head. Thanks for your replies. How expensive or how complicated is the repair to the turbo o-ring you described in your response yesterday? You wouldn't happen to live in Atlanta would you?

Sorry but I live in Olrando!!!
The turbo return line o-ring will take you probably about 45min to an hour.
If you look there is a clamp that goes from the return line to a turbo cooling line.Loosen the 10mm bolt and nut and remove the bracket. Then look up top of the return line and you will see it bolted to the turbo with either T30 screws or a I think 5mm Allen.
Remove the 2 screws and work the pipe out and replace the seal.
TIP: Sometimes it helps to tweek the cooling line to the left a little to help the pipe slide out.
Those cars are good cars. All the Volvo's that are turbo have the lines leak at one time or another.
Sorry the parts are like $6.00 to buy or close to that.
