Default Old Parts

Here's a random sort of question. Does anyone have recommendations for what to do with fairly pricey parts that have been replaced by buying parts online and could probably be refurbished by the right person? For example, I now have the a/c compressor, blower motor and blower motor resistor from my car. Tech has posted a way to fix the compressor. I could try and fix it, but wouldn't have the warranty to back up its sale. Should I try to find a local mechanic to take them or a parts store or mail them (expensive shipping) to the online company across the country? (Does anyone want to buy them off me?)
