Overheat light on

Overheat light on
I just purchased a 2000 v70xc and went thru the car changing all fluids and giving myself a date for repair and upkeep. I dropped the anti-freeze and filled the system back up, but now the dashboard red warning light with the little fan goes on and stays on......anyone know of a reason why, and how can I get the light to go off....my OBDII shows no codes...all systems pass....the temp needle is at the 3 o'clock position..... and the fan cycles appropriately??????? Any help would be greatly appreciated, can't find anything in my vadis either. A big THANKS up front.

Hello, If there is gunk in the bottle you can wash it out with a floor cleaner (Spic-&-Span, Mr Clean, etc). A magnetic float rides vertically around an inverted, tube shaped casting which houses the coolant level sensor. If that goes out, it's an easy fix. It unplugs and simply lives in the inverted tube; held in place by a rubber collar. Kira
