Rear View Mirror won't stay
My rear view mirror seems to have a mind of its own. When I try to adjust the mirror up slightly, it returns to it's last position. This is in a 2009 Volvo XC70.
Is there any way to remove and tighten up the adjuster? I was beginning to wonder if the mirror was electronically adjustable at first but I doubt it - I couldn't see anything in the instruction manual that suggested it was.

Looking back in time ..there was a simple screw holding a small piece of spring steel against a ball.
This was the mirror's pivot point. You could tighten the screw or bend the piece of steel to remove a wobble.
Does your XC have self-dimming mirrors? That'd complicate opening it.

Yeah it's a fancy self dimming one. I haven't investigated much but I know there is a slot on the back.
