There may be better volvo specific tools, but for generic reading of engine codes via the OBDII interface, I really like Autoenginuity, which can reset the check engine light as well as show real time readouts from some of the car's sensors. Autoenginuity requires a computer, and plugs in to a USB2 interface.

It's going to take something with volvo specific programming to reset the SRS light, and I hope you can find one cheaply.

I use a $40 reader from Harbor Freight.

Nothing in a handheld reader will reset an SRS light. Don't screw around with a faulty SRS system you won't know when you will need it.

Of course, reading the SRS codes, fixing the problem and then resetting the SRS codes would be the ideal solution. But unfortunately generic tools rarely read or reset SRS codes.
An exception would be autoenginuity which offers additional manufacturer-specific software modules, but Autoenginuity does not have specific modules for Volvo.
