98 v70 xc awd bought recently and just replaced battery in remote. Good news it works on all doors to lock. bad news, won't UNLOCK the driver's side. button moves, acts like wants to unlock, but won't. All the rest including trunk work just fine both ways.

(And using the key works just fine to unlock drivers door.)

Any help???

 

That is usually a bad lock motor assembly.

 

Okguesstimate on typical cost to fix? Thnx

 

I think the lock itself is like $200.00 just for the part and 1.0 to 1.5 labor.

 

Thanks. Guess the dealer estimate wasn't too far off, $150 labor and $150 parts.

 

You might be able to find an e-bay one but no it might not be much better than yours.
