Default Throttle Body

Hi,

99 V-70. Non turbo. 126.000 miles. Daughters 1st car.

Throttle Body I believe is junk. It is emitting a high pitched whine sound after shutoff, and idles like it is misfiring. Going to dealer to double check diag.

I found a place to buy A throttle body. I do not know the "bore" size and plenty of TB's to choose from. Does anyone have any advice on what "bore" size to buy? 52mm, 54mm, 58mm, 70mm?

Question is the r&r looks straight forward. A couple of quick connect electrials, a hose clamp and four bolts. Any recommendations for this r&r? Do I use any sealant on the TB gasket? If so any kind? Any threadlock on the bolts? Will the ECM have to be flashed-set after I r&r the Throttle Body at the Dealer?

Thank you for your responses. BTW here is the website I found to buy the parts. http://www.swedishpartswholesale.com...l:1))&Vi=11879 4294963744 1733&mk=Volvo&md=V70&y=1999&No=0&Npp=10

The ETC on these cars go out a lot. Read a little in the S70 section and you'll see what most guys recommend here.

Thank you for response. I looked in that section and searched for it and was unable to find it. Do you know what "bore" size I should use? Is the r&r straight forward?

thx

Not many mechanics on this Site/Actual Techs?> My Jag forum if I put a question up I get 10 responses in a day. I always thought that Volvo's had a following?

From time to time the mechanics come on, just depends on what's going on in their life at the time. I didn't try the link but I think it's broken.
