Timing Belt precautions!!
I am writing this post because there has kind of been a little debate lately about timing belts and the service intervals.
The post is to show why the timing belt should really be changed at about 70,000 miles instead of 105,000 like Volvo says it should be.
Also Make sure you replace the tensioner and idler pulleys as well.

Well, the S/V70's that were built in '98 have a 70,000 mile (7 years) service while the later have 105,000 (not sure if there is a year suggestion). The rollers/tensioner/water pump should be changed if needed. You can inspect those items and decide if they should be changed. With any roller over 10 years old, I'd suggest changing it. When the risk of the item wearing between change, I would suggest changing them again. If you are putting 30,000+ per year, you can likely skip roller change ever other time.
Just my 2 cents.
