I have a strange sound coming from the left side on the trans/engine compartment when I let off the gas or get back on the gas. I sounds like a chirp or sqeak and only does it once for a split second. If the car is idleing and I shift from rev to drive with my foot on the brake it will make the sound as well.

 

Maybe mount, but it's an odd noise for a mount. Have someone look at the engine while someone else shifts it - maybe you can see the source with your eyes and ears.

 

Hello, Start your car and make it do the chirp/squeek using the "foot on the brake R to D" method. Do this to be certain your car is making the noise. Shut her off and relieve the serpentine belt by loosening the tensioner and looping the belt off. Start the car and try it. Be quick about it if the engine has warmed up fully. Kira

 

it might be your belt i know its on the opposite side but mine dose it as well and it sounds like the same problem
