The rear hatch on my '98 V70R seemed like it was getting harder to shut for about the past year. The other day when I went to close it - it bounced. I need to really slam it to get it to latch without movement or the dash open door indicator light coming on. Looked at it briefly today but didn't notice anything loose or obviously out of position. Don't want to open it again until I get some input. Any suggestions / advice?

 

Hello, I've read that a small adjustment of the strike is all it takes. Try ~3mm (< 0.125"). Sorry, no personal experience. Kira
