This is my first post on this forum. I have just bought a 2000 v70 which is very neat both inside and out but the leather? steering wheel has most of the colour scrubbed out of it and looks terrible. I suppose the obvious answer is to buy a replacement from a breakers yard [assuming a wheel in good condition can be found] but before I go that route has anyone got any other suggestions.

It might be cheaper to swap the wheel for another used one. I bought a V70 a few months ago and the wheel was brutal. I tried a cover, but that made it too thick. I posted a "steering wheel wanted" ad in craigslist/kijiji and someone contacted me. I paid $25 for it (no air bag). The beige steering wheels are awful, I switched to dark grey. I think it looks fine.
