Default V70 1997 seat compatibility

I've got a 1997 V70 2.5T - the driver's seat is saggy. I've been trying to find a replacement from a scrapyard with no luck - they all seem pretty much as bad. Can I easily fit a replacement from a later model - or even a s/v40 or s/v90? The current seat is manual and there is a driver's airbag. I'm not fussed about the material. I just want something that's firm! Or should I refurbish the existing one - it's a soft material - not leather. Thanks for any advice.

usually the problem with front seats is the leather is torn or a heating element is not working. You may be able to refurbish yours by removing the seat cover and tightening the springs. Not sure about the cloth itself but I do know there's shops that sell prefabricated leather kits. The SRS is going to be a pain in terms of compatibility to newer seats. Just remember to disconnect the car's battery before disconnecting the SRS connectors when working on the seat. Note that the first year of the V70 in the US was 98 so you may also want to look at 850s for good seats which sould be compatible.
