Default v70 front rotor size, parts advice

Hi all.

Online parts sites show both a 286mm and 305mm front rotor for a 2005 V70 2.4 (non-turbo, manual trans, in case that matters).

Anyone know which our car has, and/or how I determine which size?

Also, I'm looking at Meyle (rear) and Nordic (front) rotors, as well as Mintex pads (front & rear) for sale from FCP. Anyone have experience and/or advice about these parts? Car is used for commuting, transporting kids - nothing hard core. Has 105k miles.

Thanks!
Tim

I believe the car would have the smaller rotors.
It would be best to pull a tire off the front and measure.
Got new brake lines, with 4 rotors - drilled and slotted, off e-bay with low dust pads.
$400.00 for all 4 corners.

I agree with Edward. It should have the smaller rotors on it now. Most of our V70s have the ability to take a little larger rotor size up front. As the rear rotors are larger, and the rims are all the same. This would require new calipers as well, I believe FCP does sell them that still mount to the OEM hub.

I bought brembo high performance rotors and akebono pad all around for $350 ($320 Canadian from FCP. FCP tends to have the multiple size option for those who want better braking. The basic $350 kit I bought from FCP brings our fully loaded wagon (My Wife, Myself, two little boys) on long trips to a stop way faster than OEM. Worked great for all our needs. I hope this helps!

You have to measure them...more than likely the 286mm/11". I went with Brembo OE replacement rotors and Akebono pads (no dust for me!). It was $215 for the front axel with new hoses and a tube of ATE plastikote from FCP.
