Just curious, is this benchmarked robustly against other vehicles of same age? Noticed that all of the older vehicles have the poorer ratings. Thnx.

 

Yes, each model year is compared to other models of the same model year. Volvo appears to have turned a corner around 2004.

 

I must be one of the "Lucky Ones" with my 01 V70 T5a. My dealer was pretty pro-active and had removed the idel neutral function with my first major (Lawrence Volvo Walnut Creek CA) without me asking! I did my own transmission fluid change at 70K when I 1st joined the forum and read about this. I am now approaching 120K, and have been problem free so far. The only issue I've ever had was the power steering pump that was replaced at 40K under warrenty. I now plan to change the fluid at 33.3 intervals since I passed 100K.

My 2004 v70 2.5t stalls while driving. Sometimes while idling at a traffic light. It is my daughters car so this is a big concern. Had codes checked at Autozone and they said it is "fuel rail pressure sensor condition".
Had another mechanic look at it and was told the fuel pressure sensor was bad. Pressure reads 39psi when it should read 57.
Is this the sensor or the fuel pump?
Help.
