I am in the market for a family wagon and the V70R (manual) fits the bill nicely. I have an '04 S60 for my wife. I was wondering what issues I should I look for and any typical problems with the car. All cars have common failures or quirks. I am also considering a 5 series wagon. Thanks

 

What year did you have in mind?

 

I don't have an exact year in mind but probably '04 or '05. Must be a manual.

 

I would go with an 05. The AWD on the earlier models are prone to fail. Also, ford seems like they finally worked out all the electrical issues in 05 compared to earlier models.
