Default Whats this noise?

When I drive my 1999 V70 XC wagon 163,000, it has a strange sound coming from front right, sounds like a wheel movement, that is in rhythm with the speed of the car.Almost sounds like something rubbing as it turns, voom, voom, and I feel a slight vibration on the acceleration pedal.

Hello, 12+ year old car w/163K; anything has earned the right to make noise. Bearings tend to make a constant hum/roar which gets louder with speed. Voom voom while turning might be a CV joint talking to you. Have you looked at the boots? Try turning the steering wheel to full lock in both directions slowly in an empty parking lot with the windows open and listen. Also, brake parts can rub and make noise and might be turn sensitive. Also, switch the front wheels or switch the right wheels front to back and see if the sound changes. Kira
