OK next issue LOL

I am driving a 90 GLE Wagon..RWD...

In snow, two things are happening:

1: the back end of the car wants to be in front

2: when i come to a stop - the car continue to slide out sideways.

VERY distressing in traffic.

INFO:
yah i have driven rwd for years in snow without this problem, including other wagons, tho not a volvo.

tires are good, all season

i put about 70 lbs over each wheel well in the back to add weight.

So...can someone explain why the car is doing those two things?

I drivr a 740 Turbo 90 and in the snow its fine even with my bad tires. Maybe your going to fast then you stop? also how is your suspension?

 

sounds to me like his rear brakes are locking up faster/ more than the fronts

 

my wifes 740 was absolutely horrible in the snow. they were all season. after we changed the tires to another make it was fine. it was the tires.
