Default Is it worth it?

Hi all,
I currantly have a 1995 850 T5 with 193K miles under her belt, it's my first volvo and all in all I've been well chuffed with her. But here inEngland thecost of fuel is really starting to pinch my wallet a bit ( approx 110 pence a litre!! ), commuting I get about 24MPG ( 6mile trip ), 30 - 32 MPG on a good run ( at about 75Mph ). General flying about is about 28 MPG.

I've been looking at the V70 TDi's approx 1998-99 age. Could anyone offer any MPG figures for this car. Also, are they all they same diesel engine or is there different versions ( which is better? ). I know the 5 cyl petrol engine is good for high mileage - is this the same with the diesels.

Thanks, Kwackers.
