2010 xc60 T6 no spark
Hello all
New to forums.
Story. On our way to easter dinner and on the highway car began to shutter. Made it off the highway to a restaurant and popped the hood to see the coil pack on cylinder 5 smoking. I disconnected it and had it towed home. I went Volvo parts and purchased a new coil pack and plugs. Changed coil pack and all the plugs and car turns over but doesnt start. I redid everything that I had just done to be sure everything was connected and in securely and tried again, turns over no start. I started checking the CPS's with the key on I get 5v on my multimeter on wires 1-3 and nothing on 2 for both sensors. I was alone at the time so I couldnt crank it. Should I have someone crank it while I test again and should the voltage be 12v on wire(s) 3? what reading should I be getting? the plugs smell of fuel so I am assuming that its getting fuel. I have cleared the codes hoping to get a new code and nothing. So I am guessing the CPS. However can the crank position sensor give me a no spark situation as well? and what is the voltage reading on this?
I dont want to replace both sensors and not have it be the problem or be out 150$ because I missed something.
Thanks
Mike
