Default Leaking Sunroof

I have a 2010 XC60 with a leaking sunroof. I came back from a business trip to find 1/2" of water on the front passenger floor. The dealer says it's probably the drains. Has anyone else had a problem like this?

I've had a problem with the front windshield leaking but that was fixed under warranty so that's what I'm thinking. I also had the passenger side plastic trim fly off and replaced.

Anyone had any ongoing problems with leaking around the windshield or sunroof?

Own a 2014 XC60 purchased in January. No problems with leaking but the "modesty panel" on the passenger side of the sunroof has come out three times. Dealer has finally fixed it but frustrating for sure. This did not cause any leaks!
Just an FYI. We also have a 2007 VW Touareg. That vehicle is notorious for leaking sunroof problems and all are caused by the drains being clogged! Your dealer's comment could be the problem.
Otherwise, loving the XC60

The sunroofs do not seal to the roof. They allow a small amount of water to seep through and fall into the tracks, which channel the water to the drains. I have seen the seals leak around the glass, but not on a vehicle as new as yours. You can open the sunroof, pour water into the track, and see if it drains to the bottom of the car somewhere.

Easiest thing to do is just take a can of air and blast the drains. All one should really ever have to do to a sunroof is make sure the drains are not plugged every once in a while and just lube up the track to keep everything running smoothly.

Exclamation Roof Leak

I had a problem with my XC60 leaking on what looked like the front glass. I brought it to Holmes Volvo in Shreveport. They informed me that the side window vents (the McNeil plastic ones) cause too much water to get into the drain and cause overflowing into the interior. They said they just caulk it and it fixes the problem. I haven't had a leak since.

You got me with that one. What side vents are you talking about?

The window deflectors route too much water to the roof and cause the drains to overflow. http://www.weathertech.com/volvo/2014/xc60/side-window-deflectors/#

Default XC60 Sunroof Modesty Strips

Does anyone know the Volvo part number for both LH & RH Sunroof Modesty Strips on an XC60?

Will the Modesty Strips from an XC70 or XC90 fit on the XC60?
