Just looking for recommendations on tires. I had a set of Hankook but found that, despite being a "recommended match" at the tire dealer, Hankook said that they're really not a good tire for the XC60. I had cupping issues and had to crisscross them when rotating them and doing it more often to get a useful life out them.

So looking for a new set and want something that might be more trouble free.

My 2010 XC60 has 92k on it. I replaced the original tires at 30k with Continental Cross Contact LX20 with Ecoplus Technology.

They lasted until 91k, so I got 61k miles out of them. About 1k miles ago, a month or so, I replaced them with Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Plus tires. I'm very happy with them. They are quiet, and seem to have good traction.

I had picked both tires by using tire rack dot com's website. They are a great resource for tires. They get millions of miles of feedback from users, and break down a lot of categories to assess the best tires for your needs. When I bought the Continentals years ago they were the #1 rated one by users for my car. I checked before the new set and they are still very highly rated at #3? But the Pirellis are rated even higher and cost a good amount less when I ordered them. They even have higher UTGQ so theoretically should last even longer than the Conties I just replaced. Though I'm very happy with the 60k I got from them.

For me, I always by my tires online, and pick them up at their local distribution facility, which happens to be 45 mins from my house. I save a lot on shipping. Then I bring them to my local mechanic to mount / balance and do an alignment.

I'd give a nod to the Conti Crosscontact LX's as well. Have them on my wife's Highlander and they've been the best ride and wear. We have 167K on that car so we've done a few brands. The OEM Toyo's were the worst - had to be replaced at 40K, the Conti's have about 30K on them and look like they can go another 30K.
