Default 2011 XC60 2.0T with fuel gauge working intermittently

Hello everyone. I am needing bit of help and direction on a 2011 Volvo XC60 2.0T Automatic transmission.

The fuel gauge on the car is working intermittently. I have the following errors codes which reappear after clearing:

1.
DIM-U042268
Invalid Data Received From Central Electronic Module. Algorithm Based Failures. Event Information

2.
CEM-P046015
Fuel Level Sensor A Circuit. General Electrical Failures. Circuit Short To Battery Or Open

Car drives fine and there appears to be no noticeable hesitation in acceleration or starting the car. Should I start checking a break in the circuit with the fuse box or should I look at replacing the fuel pump? I believe the sensor is housed inside the fuel pump. If anyone has encountered these 2 error messages on a Volvo and know of the fix I will be very grateful.

Thank you.
