2011 xc60 turbo problem
Hi
My xc60 (2011) D4 has been making a whistling noise, when I push the clutch, and also when I get my feet off the gas pedal. The car also appears to be less powerful.
I'm assuming that it is a turbo problem, the car did 200K kilometers so it's kinda time for the turbo to give up.
What do you guys think? Is it fixable? Can it be only some electronical fault?

200km is NOT high miles for a turbo. My 850 lasted 250K miles... Its normal for the turbo to have some whine but the whistle suggest some other air leak problem - check for vacuum line leaks, torn or loose air boots, clogged PCV system (pull the dipstick up to see if the whistle goes away or do a glove test). Normally turbos fail by having leaky seals or too much end play due to worn bearing which leads to the leaks.
