2012 XC60 went over RR tracks and engine died.
My 2012 XC60 died after going over RR tracks. I was not driving. Car says something like engine service needed.
Battery connections appear to be good.
What could cause the engine to shutoff and not start. Loose engine ground?
My spouse said they slowed down for the RR tracks, went over the tracks, heard and felt the usual bumps then it died.
$450 tow fee WITH roadside assistance. Never again.

It took me 15 min to fix it once it was back home.
When my spouse ran over the RR tracks, the bumps were enough to cause the intake pipe to come off of the throttle body.
The car would start but as soon as I rpms dropped to idle it would die. When I saw that my first thought was MAFS. Turns out I was sort of right.
