Default 2013 XC60 interior lights

New member here looking for any suggestions on a strange issue (have searched the forum and did not see a similar question but apologies if this has already been asked). Bought a 2013 XC60 for our daughter and everything worked as it should when purchased. 6 months down the road I realized the overhead interior lights no longer work nor does the Homelink or visor mirror lights. Come to find out, my other daughter broke the door off the passenger side visor mirror months ago (so the mirror light was on all the time until it wasn't). I have checked the fuse and it looks fine (and other things listed on that fuse work fine). Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Power for all of that comes from fuses 3 and 6 in the CEM. There is a non replaceable relay the CEM turns on to send power to those fuses. Do you actually have 12v at the fuses?
The CEM can shut off power if there is a short (to ground) - I have had cases where lights would not work until you read and erase the stored codes in the CEM. (and fix the short)
The CEM also will shut off interior lights after a period of time to prevent the battery from going flat. Most of those lights are grounded by the CEM
The grounds for ashtray/headphone sockets/parking brake sw light/glovebox light go directly to the body. All the others are grounded inside the CEM.
Homelink gets power from fuse 6.
So I suspect the CEM is not turning on that relay - because something shorted out and it tripped a "circuit breaker" in the CEM.
I would check for power at fuse 3 and 6 -
If a sunvisor light is broken I would disconnect it electrically.
Still no power, maybe reboot the car (disconnect battery wait a minute then reconnect) and if still no power scan the car with a compatible scan tool and see if there are CEM codes.

Thank you!! I will disconnect the visor electrically and also check the voltage at the fuses and go from there.
