Front grille badge update
Hey all-
I know this topic has been discussed 1000x, but I wanted to share the "poor mans" way of updating your front badge. I did the following:
1. bought the new large emblem off of ebay
2. carefully broke off all of the snaps from the back of the new emblem in order to make it flush/flat
3. covered the old emblem with black duct tape and cleaned edges with a razor so it is a nice black square
4. attached new emblem over the old with double sided tape, making sure it was as flush as possible against the grille.
From a distance, you cannot tell the modification has been done, and it's not that easy to tell from up close either. 99 out of 100 people will never notice, but of course xc90 lovers might!
For a total of $20 ($15 for the badge, $5 for the tape) it looks pretty darn good folks.
