2021 Volvo XC-60
I don’t really have tips but I bought one last month (inscription hybrid) and am enjoying it, It came with extras I didn’t really need (premium sound, air suspension).
Still figuring all the bells and whistles out. Good luck.

Okay..thanks for helping...the suspension on the Volvos [XC-60's] sure is different than the various Lexus's RX-350 AWD that i have owned through the years...stiffer ride...also noticed the 4 cylinder turbo engine with supercharger whines when going from a stopped position to start.....must be the supercharger kicking in...like all of the safety features in the Volvo.
I don’t notice the sounds. Maybe it is that stereo! Very quiet in pure mode.
I don’t like the fact that all 2021s come with one regular key and one care key (and one sport key). We would prefer not to have the care key. Maybe you can negotiate two regular keys.
we have averaged 34mpg for the 1876 miles we have driven..mostly highway. People have said you need to use the nav system to get the best mpg.
around town we use all electric. The driving journal gives you mpg/trip. When I drive to Boston part of my trip is at 45-55 in hybrid mode (battery fully charged) after an hour I get close to 44/mpg. Next hour at 70 and battery drained I got 27mpg. And then on the way home I did non stop 45-70mph for two hours and got 32/mpg (again with battery down to 0, hybrid mode. Short drives produce the best fuel consumption.

Love my 2019 XC 60 T8 Inscription!! I almost bought a 2019 XC 60 T6....but the deal fell thru, which turned out to be a good thing. If your in the USA, the T8 Qualifies for a federal rebate (Was just over $5000 for my 2019) and many States give incentives as well. So it can bring it down to the T6 price range very easily. I wanted the Air suspension, but I really didnt notice much of a difference, and there have been reports in colder climates, the air suspension having issues..but others state they love the air suspension and they couldnt do without it....each their own. The Inscription has an upgraded Stereo over the momentum and it is very nice. is it has nice as the B&W, no, but for me, it is excellent and I can spend $3000 on other things.
The Hybrid system fits well into my lifestyle. Work is 20 miles away.....and the parking garage has free chargers.....so can make it all the way on battery, charge, and all the way home on battery! Lot of my errands are within a 20 mile range. So you may think the electric range is low, but you may be surprised how well it may fit into your daily life. On a 450 mile commute (900 round trip) I achieved 36mpg on the way up, and 32 on the way home. And that was calculated by pen/paper.....the cars computer stated 39 and 36.....So still very good gas mileage and I wasn't babying it either....When you consider how heavy of a vehicle it is, its even more fascinating on how fast it can go when you want it to, and the good gas mileage! I'm very happy with my T8....Love the Massaging/ventilation seats.....I do like the massaging feature, and use it a fair bit....my wife uses it all the time. The ventilation aspect is ok,...not great, but it does make a difference....overall I found the seats were the best of all the cars we test drove, but like many things, its a personal decision.
My recommendation is test drive the model you want and try 1 with air suspension and 1 without....Good luck

Okay...thanks for your input...i understand that the Hybrid models can be plugged into a regular 240Volt outlet....is that correct?
If that is correct did you have an outlet installed in your garage?

here is the outlet used for the 240.

I was on the volvo USA site and yes it doesnt show the massaging/ventilated seats......I lrecall some saying on various FB groups it is still an option, .but maybe they are outside the USA. Would I have still bought my volvo without those options? More than likely,......My wife didnt want me to buy the car in the first place ( my Outback was perfectly fine) but the massaging seats made her less grumpy about the purchase, lol
If i Was to order a volvo....I would do the Overseas Delivery......In non-covid times....you get airfare for 2 to the plant and get a tour..drive around Europe ofr a bit and drop off the car at the port..fly back home!! Of course Covid has screwed that up!! https://forums.swedespeed.com/forumd...Delivery-Forum
Thats 1 issue with buying a Volvo...to get all that you want....it can take awhile.....its not like a GMC dealership where they have 20 of every color/trim type!! The dealer where I bought mine from (DC area) went and got my car from a Boston Dealer!! Good luck

Thanks....have been driving Lexus' RX-350 AWD for a long time so the conversion to Volvo is interesting...ride is totally different vs. Lexus....much stiffer.....takes getting used to.....almost think Lexus's ride is too cushy
Test drove a 2021 Volvo XC-60 Re-Charge this morning...i was time constrained so didn't have time to ask sales guy....so noticed the navigation screen in the front dashboard and NOT within the touchscreen .....do you have any issues with this location?

1 complaint that some have....is when using navigation..it only takes up half of the main display.......doesnt bother me. I believe starting in the 2022 model, they are changing the system to android based or something..I haven't paid much attention to that as I have no plans of getting rid of my 2019 for many yrs
