2022 XC60 Inscription
When I’m stopping and approaching the end of a complete stop (usually less than 15 mph) the car begins to pulsate - feels like the brakes are grabbing and releasing. I discovered that the rpm’s are rising during this event. It is preventing “smooth stopping” so much that even passengers feel it.
I took it to dealer and rode with mechanic and he immediately experienced it, and explained that the rpm’s are rising as it is downshifting the gears. We took another similar model out and had similar experience although I didn’t think it was as intense. Determined it is the design of the engine/transmission and there is no fix.
i purchased it 3 weeks ago as a Certified vehicle with 4100 miles and was told the original buyer wanted to downsize to XC40. I now question the truth to that!
I then worked with sales person and manager to find a solution which was to upgrade to Recharge that has a different engine and transmission. I drove one and it was MUCH better however in the end it was going to cost me 25k! They reduced my trade by 7k (from what I paid less than 500 miles ago!).
I’m open to suggestions but I don’t plan on keeping it as is 😩.

Sell your car yourself to Carmax or another Dealer. You may receive a much better price, then go find the car you wish to upgrade too and work out the best deal you can. With cars very scarce these days there is no need to get hosed on both sides of the transaction, you have more leverage on the selling side than they let you think.
Best of luck!
