Installed 1.0 update which completed in about 30 minutes. According to the release notes only some slight adjustments to driving dynamics. Disappointing the Google system is so limited with apps… would be wonderful to have access to download the SiriusXM app with much more function and control than the built in SiriusXM.

I updated car software to 1.10, updated android app to 5.10.0; did a factory reset on the car and remote climate still doesn't work.
I can't believe that there has been no official word from Volvo regarding this, as there's clearly some confusion, i.e. :

- Does it work on XC60 Recharge only?
- Does if work for apple devices and not android devices?

No, I did a reset and it didn't work. Seems that there's no one able to get remote start to work (minus the recharge) on an android. no matter the app version, car version, or reset.

Remote start of 2022 XC60 (non recharge models) does NOT work on Android. This has been confirmed by Volvo customer support. They did not even tell me to "oh try doing this or that or this" - they straight up said it doesn't work at the moment and they are actively working on a update. So just wait and don't waste your time trying to reset/uninstall/re-pair etc if you are on Android.

After opening a ticket with Volvo support A WEEK AGO, they finally responded with the following.
So, it's official that the Volvo Cars app does not work on an Android device.
I do find it strange that the car was released when not fully functional, and not one dealer was able to tell anyone at the time of purchase that this functionality isn't available when the spec sheet gave the impression that it was not only available but working.

Happy to say that I am surrending my car to Volvo next week. Done with this never ending BS. It's a shame, because it's a hell of a fun car to drive.

I wish I was more excited tho. So much more that needs fixing, these little wins seem too little to late to spark any excitement...

Remote start for Android phones now works
My remote start now works in the USA after updating the Volvo Cars app to version 5.12.0. I did have to add a screen lock to my Android phone before the app would start the XC60. Now if only the infotainment screen would stop freezing when playing music I would be very happy.

I took my car last week to get dealership updated and still every day I have to reset the infotainment screen at least 1x a day still have the service call on Sirius music.
At least I can start the car.
