I picked up my XC60 B5 (Inscription with climate and technology packages) last weekend and no one mentioned that the remote start didn't work for Android. My wife has an iPhone and I have a Samsung GS10. The salesperson couldn't get either of our phones paired in the app when we picked up the car. I figured it out on my own and discovered that the remote start wasn't working for me...which brought me to this forum! I then informed our salesperson about it and she seemed to admit that she knew about it.

 

Remote start now works on Android with the latest 5.12.0! (Regular non recharge models!)

 

Where did you download it? The Play Store still has 5.11

What version software is in your car?

I'm suck on 1.8 and can't get the car to update.

Google Play Store still showing 5.11 only.

 

My car never showed the 1.10 update so I had to have the dealer do it. No clue why I never got the update notification

 

The next time I go to the dealer it will be to surrender the car back to Volvo. Should be next week. Can't wait.

I have had my 2022 xc60 since November and the app still doesn’t work. The remote starter doesn’t work 99 % of the time. This is one of a hundred issues that I have had with this car.

 

I traded mine in. I'm done...

 

Same, got rid of mine 2 weeks ago. Never buying a Volvo again.

 

I may buy another, not for quite some time though.

 

Do people actually pay the $200 annual fee to be able to use the remote access app after the initial free access expires?

I'm pretty sure you are aware that remote start will not work if the doors are unlocked, but in case you weren't, now you are!

QUESTION:
I do not really understand the purpose/behavior of selecting one of "Leave in 5, 10, 15 min."

ANSWER:
Called my dealer and got an answer: All that says is how long before the car shuts itself off if you don't get to it right away.
