240V plug in timer suggestions
I have a 240V outlet in garage which I use to charge my xc60 recharge t8.
Looking for suggestions for a 24 hour programable timer this way I can take advantage of charging during off peak hours.
My electric company can not connect to this model with their discount program something about the version of google it uses.
Any suggestions or specs I should look for would be appreciated.

Hmmm.....now I'm wondering if the cheap 24 hour timer for 240v that we used in the past is the reason our outlet took a dump. Same thing happened -- the charging cable kept going red. Even without the timer plugged into it. After bothering the dealership 2 or 3 times about a faulty cable -- it turns out it was our outlet. We had to get a new $7 outlet and now it's working fine. No more red blinking cable, but we have not tried the timer again. Could it be the timer messed up the outlet? I'm hesitant to try it out again and we do want to switch to the time of use plan with our power company to take advantage of off-peak or discounted rate charging.

I was using the Intermatic HB114. It was about $29 but after my second one I am now just using the plug in and setting reminders on my phone to switch in and switch it off to take advantage of discounted hours. I had an alligator switch installed when I put in the 240 outlet to avoid plugging in and out to the socket. I'm looking into chargers that will plug into my 240 outlook that my electric company will accept for the discount program.
