I have a 2019 XC60 T5 Inscription AWD which is nearing 40k miles (warranty expired). What are the pros and cons of using an independent (non-dealer) repair shop for this? I'm asking because I understand that Volvo dealership 40k inspection is quite pricey. I would prefer to get this done by a local, properly qualified, repair shop to save money. I live in Parker, CO. Parker Imports said they can do it, but I was not instilled with confidence when I visited their shop and spoke with the manager who was very glib in responding to my questions. Also saw a negative Yelp review on Parker Imports alluding to a recent ownership change. Thanks in advance for feedback and recommendations for trustworthy local repair shop.
