Default Advice Please!

Hello everybody,

I am currently in the process of buying a car in Spain. I have come across a 2010 XC60 which has done 190,000 km. The car (to my untrained eye) seems to be in good condition but the mileage scares the life out of me, going against everything I have heard with regards to high mileage. Am I right to be concerned or should I get lots more years out of it (I only do about 6,000 miles a year). Every car in spain seems to have done so much more distance than in the UK. Thank you very much in advance for any advice you can give.

Default Advice Please

I currently have 91,000 miles on my 2015.5 XC60. If I remember my miles to km conversion, that is about the same 140,000 km as the car you are considering. I have had zero problems & would not be concerned about driving for several more years, especially if you only plan on driving about 6,000 miles per year. I am buying a new 2018 XC60, but only because I want to & can write most of the purchase off as a business expense. However, I would check maintenance records , etc carefully as there are no guarantees & major repairs are quite expensive. And note that mine is a 2015 which is (5) years newer than the vehicle you are considering. I have owned (6) Volvos & have never had any major repairs; just routine service plus brakes & tires. I typically put 75,000-90,000 miles on before trading up.
