We are nearing the end of the 1st quarter. Where is CarPlay?

 

I got Remote Start today via an app update on my Android phone. That works yay. I was at the dealership the other day and asked if they knew when Android Auto and AppleCarplay were coming. They weren't too confident when or at all to be honest because of Google connectivity the car now has. I did mention if Volvo were aware on how limited the app download selection was. They said yes but Volvo mothership at good point in time are still not committing to it as far as he knew . Disappointing if he is right.

 

First quarter is over.

 

I told my wife back in January that if CarPlay is not working by the end of March, I would take her XC60 and get her another car.
Hope she doesn’t remember I said that.
I now believe we will die of old age before Volvo fixes this software. And I’m only in my 50’s.

I emailed Volvo this morning and said the dealer promised CarPlay by the end of the first quarter. They answered that it will now be mid year, meaning June 30th.
I traded in the 2022 XC60 this afternoon for an Audi Q5 55e plug inhybrid. CarPlay works.
