Volvo XC60 This smaller crossover offers the capabilities of an SUV with less size - ideal for city driving.

Anyone with a '22 XC60 and actually happy with it?

Question Anyone with a '22 XC60 and actually happy with it?

I am considering a 2022 Volvo XC60 B5 Momentum for my wife. I chose Volvo because I wanted something I know would be safe and reliable. However, this thread here is extremely concerning:
https://volvoforums.com/forum/volvo-...oblems-107343/

I know sometimes, only bad experiences get spoken about and the good not so much. I'm really hoping thats the case here so I'd like to ask if anyone has actually had a great experience with the car or is this first revision with Google a total dud?

Thanks

Very happy with mine. I've had my B6 Inscription since October and have had very little problems. The last over-the-air update downloaded and installed with no problems. I am waiting for the notification for the 1.8 update. The Google Assistant is really nice....a vast improvement over the 2018 XC90 voice system I had previously. I love being able to speak normally and have it respond accordingly. Maps/Navi are beautiful and easy to use. Car is peppy and fun to drive.
Overall - I am very pleased.

Well, ride with the car is great, efficient, nice, smooth.
but the problems by me with gear, and also poor radio funcionality - the question is,is it worth for the price with many problems? I dont wanna be a test driver …

Very happy with mine. Some buggy software but nothing major and the overall experience has exceeded my expectations. I compared the X3 and Q5 and really preferred the Volvo.

Happy with mine as well. XC60 Inscription super fun to drive, some buggy software things that affect the in-cabin experience (i.e. bought vehicle in early November and just now got a software update). Overall pleased with the car and have gotten many compliments

As the saying goes, Happy Wife…Happy life…only reason im still keeping mine (2022 XC60 B5 Momentum)
Otherwise, if you are a tech guy be ready for a big dissapointment…Software functionality is lacking (IOS vs Droid app capabilities differ), sometimes the network connectivity for Google just is not there… main driver center display not well thought…lacking just general functionality…
my 2cents
P.S: My daily driver is a 1990 740 GL with 150k miles on it. Still loving it!

Very happy with my XC60 Re-charge R-design. Rides very smooth and comfy. Due to chip crisis, they put a dummy sensor to open the trunk with your foot, but this will be solved next garage visit they promised.

Furthermore the software is working fine with me, didn't have much bug troubles. It is a little less extensive then I thought and apps are (at the moment) rather limited.
I never had network problems. Maybe based on where you live? Didn't have any troubles in Center Europe yet.

I'd definitely recommend the car after 1,5 months of using it.

Very happy to hear that, It seems several owners on here had some real teething issues with their 2022 models re: software etc. My 2021 with the older 'Sensus' Nav system is performing flawlessly so far. It's fast and I've learned it's commands and no issues. I'm still waiting for the download that will install a timer for the charging system. Our electrical rates go way down to almost nothing after 11PM where I live. A call to Volvo back in September promised it would come soon in an update but the 'check's still in the mail'. I think you have had that feature all along in Europe. I did have it here on a Honda Clarity PHEV.

Default First time Volvo owner and mostly happy

I bought a '22 xc60 r-design in late October as my first Volvo. Overall, I'm happy with it. It drives great, looks sharp, and is a perfect size for our needs. The Google system looks great and mostly performs well. Admittedly, there are some quirks and growing pains they are still working through from a software perspective. My issues are not safety related, but really centered on an inconsistently functional SiriusXM app...the screen freezes constantly (only this app) and the dealer has had it twice with no luck correcting the issue. I expect this will be fixed with updates (1.8 did not correct the issue) but it is a little frustrating for a auto maker like Volvo to have minor issues like this one.

Purchased my 2022 B6 Inscription XC60 at the end of November (got it for 6% below MSRP).

Happy so far.

Only complaint is with the Sirius app -- when moving across channels the screen will lock up and show a channel name and artist/song combo that doesn't match what you are hearing on the radio. So basically on-screen navigation of the Sirius channels is worthless. You can still select the channel from drop down that you want, so this is more of an annoyance. Hoping its corrected in a later update.

Otherwise, I am early on in the ownership, but very happy so far with the purchase.

I have a XC60 recharge and am enjoying it. The electronic glitches seem to have settled down. Drives very nicely etc

Had to return to the dealer for latest update. Dealer said it's done. Screen still shows that it can't install and tells me to return to dealer. Lost the map on the drivers console. Hate this glitchy software and know-nothing Volvo dealers.

Default Got mine in September

Tried to return it twice. Do not. I repeat do not waste your time and money.
Purchase anything else BMW 5 Audi 5 anything. This car is unfinished dangerous junk
The car runs on a google connection which constantly drops. Got stuck out in the middle of no where and had to use my phone to get home. Without Apple CarPlay I had to constantly look down. Not a safe situation.

2022 XC60 B6 Inscription.... We have had the car for about 500 miles. Very happy, love the car, no Issues. Drives great.

We have Software Version 1.8.1. Everything works as it should!!

I'd like to see an "always displayed" Odometer on the Instrument Panel, yet this is a personal preference.

Default Your car is different from mine or maybe you just tolerate more

You are correct no easily accessible odometer. I got stuck at the inspection station because they wanted to know the mileage on the car. It took 2 phone calls and 15 minutes to figure out how to display it. The manual is useless. Who ever wrote it should be terminated today

if you like the car you must be okay with driving g being possessed by google

The Google Infotainment systems works great for us....
  • You want to turn on the seat heaters? Just ask and its done!
  • You want to turn on the heated steering wheel? Just ask and its done!
  • You want directions to someone on your contact list? Just ask and its done!
  • You want to turn the fan speed higher? Just ask and its done!

We have not experienced any issues so far.... Thus we are pleased with the system.

Yet, I can only speak for our experience, and do not discount anyone's issues.
