I have a later 2015 XC60 model. It's been stuck in an official service for 6 months now. It wont start one day, so they replaced a battery first, then a catalytic convertor now they want to replace ECU.
I understand that my country (Cyprus) is small and technicians are dumb. But 6 months is a way to much.
As I understand because this stupid car wants to connect to Sweden every time for even a simple procedure. But I've also heard there's a way to remove all this stupid brains and replace it with something else. So anyone can repair it as a pre-2015 model. Is it true? What are keyword to further look?
